Professional SOP for flower care after delivery

Step 1: Receiving Inspection

Open the box immediately and inspect all flowers. Check for damage, color quality, and stem condition. Record any issues with photos/video for documentation.

Step 2: Stem Cutting

Cut stems at 45° angle, remove 2-5cm from the bottom. Use sharp, clean scissors. Remove any damaged or blackened portions. Cut immediately before placing in water.

Remove all leaves that would be submerged in water. This prevents bacterial growth and extends vase life. Remove any damaged or yellowing leaves.

Use professional flower food (Chrysal, FloraLife). Mix according to instructions. Maintain pH 3.5-5.0. Rose: 15-25cm water depth. Chrysanthemum: 10-15cm.

Step 5: Temperature Control

First 4 hours: 2-8°C. Daily storage: 8-12°C. Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources, and ethylene gas. Vase life: Rose 4-8h, Chrysanthemum 6-12h, Lisianthus 2-4h.

Common Issues & Solutions

Soft Flower Head

Immediately place in cool water with flower food. Ensure proper hydration and temperature control.

Black Root

Cut off blackened portions immediately. Increase water changes. Check for bacterial contamination.

Water Shortage

Check water level daily. Add fresh water with flower food. Avoid tap water if possible.

Compression Damage

Document with photos/video. Contact us within 24 hours for replacement. Proper packaging is our responsibility.
